TJ Clark joined WeHOPE in 2020 as the Mobile Homeless Services Director. He brings with him a long history of being in service to others. Recently he was instrumental in developing a distribution process in the San Diego area to deliver over 400,000 meals to high risk individuals during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Since 2016 he owned and operated his own business providing consulting services in project management, emergency management and risk assessment/mitigation. TJ worked as a Project Manager/Consultant, to Jewish Family Service of San Diego, working in direct collaboration with State agencies to ensure all state code requirements were met for the remodeling of a building which would operate as a 24/7 overnight respite shelter for asylum seeking families.
Prior to moving to San Diego in 2015, TJ spent a fulfilling career in the US Army where he obtained the rank of Sergeant Major. He led operations domestically and internationally, earning numerous awards for exemplary leadership and service directive improvements in high stress environments. He has inspired and motivated thousands of men and women in their personal and professional growth through teaching, training, and leading by example while providing supervision of organizational operations.
While serving his country, TJ also immersed himself in other service-related occupations becoming a professional Firefighter, Licensed Paramedic, and Emergency Management Coordinator. He currently volunteers as the Field Operations Coordinator with the disaster response organization, Team Rubicon. Collectively he has amassed over three decades of experience in serving those in need.
TJ holds his bachelor's degree from Siena Heights University and is currently pursuing his master’s in organizational leadership. With his diverse experience, TJ continues to focus on organizational growth and development that correlates to providing direct services to those in need.
